ESL/English Assistant Professor — Contra Costa Community College District — Concord, CA

Diablo Valley College is seeking a full-time, tenure-track ESL instructor to begin in August, 2014. The successful applicant will be well-qualified to teach all levels of ESL. Although the position is primarily focused on ESL, because the ESL program is integrated into the English department at Diablo Valley College, the department considers it very desirable if candidates are also well-qualified to teach a range of reading and writing courses, from four-levels below transfer ESL courses to transfer-level English composition and literature courses.

Developmental Reading and Writing Faculty — Howard Community College — Columbia, MD

The American Institutes for Research is a leading behavioral and social science research organization.  This opening is for an Editor in the Education Program.  This position is responsible for editing research summaries, evaluation findings, proposals, and reports as well as editing research materials.  A minimum of 7 years of editorial experience is required with experience editing social science research preferred.

Content Producer — NBC Chicago

WMAQ-TV, the Chicago NBC affiliate, seeks a News Content Producer to create high-quality and informative news stories.  This person will shoot stories in the field, desktop edit, write, and produce news stories for the air.  The News Content Producer is also responsible for initializing and developing news stories and participating in editorial planning sessions.  Candidates should have experience in both News writing and News field photography and must be able to work long hours to meet production and broadcast deadlines.
