Web and Media Manager— Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago
The position of Web and Media Manager requires a person with high technical, management, communication, and interpersonal skills who will be dedicated to advancing LSTC’s ministry and mission through its online presence. The Web and Media Manager reports directly to the Director of Communications and Marketing and works with content providers across the institution, students, and other colleagues in a respectful and collaborative manner. This person will coordinate content for LSTC’s social media sites, working with the Director of Communications to develop and implement a content strategy and schedule and maintain and improve the seminary’s web site(s), posting updates from content providers in a timely manner; running quarterly analytics; providing support for blogs, e-newsletters, e-commerce, and related pages and sites; ensuring compatibility with mobile devices; and doing web maintenance, documentation, backup, and troubleshooting.

This position will work with the Communications team, assisting with marketing, public relations, advertising, administrative and other projects. This position is approximately twenty hours per week.
Marketing and Comunications Director — The Chicago Humanities Festival
The Director of Marketing and Communications serves as the Festival’s brand champion and marketing/communications strategist. Working closely with programmers and senior staff, the role is responsible for expanding institutional visibility and brand awareness, increasing admissions and ticket sales, and cultivating both current and new audiences. The position is also responsible for telling the Festival’s stories both via media relations and the Festival’s online channels—website, YouTube channel, Twitter, Facebook. This position supervises a team of employees and interns so applicants should have managerial experience as well as excellent communication skills.

America SCORES Chicago’s mission is to empower students in urban communities using soccer, writing, creative expression and service-learning. With teamwork as the unifying value, America SCORES Chicago inspires youth to lead healthy lifestyles, by engaging students to become agents of change in their communities. While working with America SCORES your primary role will be as a soccer or writing coach. America SCORES Chicago offers after-school soccer, writing and service-learning programming for underserved youth on Chicago’s west side. You will use your love of sports and the skills that you have developed to coach youth on the soccer field and in the classroom. No day will ever be the same and you can expect to wear many different hats and will develop various skill-sets during your service year. Roles for this position may include: Soccer and Writing Coach; Program Assistant; Camp Coordinator. The position requires 300 hours of service during Summer and Fall 2014 and pays a stipend.
