Community Literacy Journal Achievements
Michelle Hall Kells’ article, “What’s Writing Got to Do with It?: Citizen Wisdom, Civil Rights Activism, and 21st Century Community Literacy”, from the Community Literacy Journal, Issue 7.1, has been accepted for publication in The Best of the Independent Rhetoric & Composition Journals 2013.
The Crossroads Collaborative, featured in the Community Literacy Journal, Issue 8.1, has been selected as Honorable Mention for the 2014 Annual Community-Campus Partnerships for Health Promoting Health Equity and Social Justice Award. The award recognizes organizations that have worked to “improve higher education, civic engagement, and the overall health of their communities.

WRD’s Connection with China
Professors Peter Vandenberg and Jason Schneider’s work with DePaul’s Chinese sister school, Huaqiao University, was highlighted in a recent issue of Newsline, DePaul’s publication for faculty and staff.
