General Assembly brings together Chicago’s programming experts and hosts a friendly debate of about which coding languages top the need-to-know list in 2016.
WRD students who took Inge Stockburger‘s Discourse Analysis course last year will remember learning about discourse in the self-published booklets commonly referred to as “zines” (short for magazines or fanzines). At this event, members of Chicago-based writing collective Brown and Proud Press will lead a zine-making workshop and a discussion on the importance of storytelling in LGBTQIA communities in order to challenge dominant narratives.
The event is part of Chicago Public Library’s Pride Month programming.
Join WRD and NMS students, faculty, and staff to celebrate the some of the great work done by those in the program this year!
